On the way back home from New Orleans the week of Thanksgiving. Spent pretty much the whole day in terminals. Zigzagged across America as direct flights sky rocket during the Holidays. The picture was taken at one of our many stops which was in Memphis Tennessee, home of Elvis Presley. I got a sense of remembrance and celebration of Elvis's life as soon as I got off the airplane. His memorabilia is everywhere. Would be a great town to spend some more time at.

Spent a day in New Orleans and got to see a little bit of everything. Nice restaurants, art galleries, historic societies, walked around and saw amazing cast iron work, and of course finished the day with some great New Orleans Jazz!

My First Mixology

My first attempt at making a drink. Not bad for a first try but I'm going to need a lot more practice. This is a spiced rum sangria. It's suppose to have a more red wine look but it turned out a little more pink. If you want to try and make your own, the recipe is below.

Spiced rum sangria

Ingredients:

• 1 ounce Captain Morgan Black spiced rum
• 2 ounces red wine
• 1 ounce fresh orange juice
• 1 lemon wedge
• 1 lime wedge
• Ice

Directions:

1. Squeeze lemon and lime wedge into glass.
2. Add remaining ingredients to glass and fill with ice.
